If Deutsche Börse's trading volume doesn't dominate European trading, maybe its trading technology will. The firm operates the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the electronic Xetra platform, and offers derivatives trading on the Eurex market and its US subsidiary, International Securities Exchange.  Frankfurt is Germany's largest stock exchange, while Eurex is among the largest futures markets in the world. Deutsche Börse also licenses Xetra technology to other exchanges; provides market data and analysis, including the DAX and STOXX indices; and performs banking, trade clearing and settlement, and custody services through its Clearstream subsidiary. The company agreed to merge with the London Stock Exchange Group in March 2016.
